Our Indigo shibori process is rooted in ancient Japan, where back in 1600’s the Samurai wore indigo-dyed fabrics under their armour to help keep bacteria from wounds. Natural indigo dyed clothing results in richer blues and has a surprising range of qualities like antibacterial and flame-resistant characteristics, as well as the fact that it repels odor and dirt, a perfect match for breathable organic cotton!

Our organic cotton is manufactured locally in Oakville, and each garment is cut, sewn and dyed in Toronto. Due to each garment being individually dyed and sewn, results although similar overall are always organically different which we feel is the beauty of the artistic process.

To prolong the life of your indigo dyed textiles we recommend machine wash cold with similar colors, hang to dry and lightly iron. No bleach.
